Natasha Jonas was all smiles after beating world bronze medallist Quanitta Underwood at the Olympic boxing test event at London's Excel Centre.

The British light welterweight, who won bronze herself at the recent European Championships in Rotterdam, was a commanding 23-15 winner against the US fighter to book her place in Saturday's semi-finals.

"I'm absolutely made up. The girl won a medal in a World Championships that I didn't even qualify for, so it's massive boost for me," said Jonas, who is looking to secure London 2012 selection at next year's women's World Championships in China.

"I'm just focusing on what I've got to do to get back here next summer. Every tournament we go to, we're expected to medal. I'm here to win. Winning is the only option from now until the Olympics. The hard work starts though with qualifying and it won't be easy.

"There's no one in world, standards wise, that are better then Team GB. That shows in our results at major competitions recently." Read more >>
