Thomas Cook will honour Olympic Games ticket packages

2012 London Olympics: Flight Bookings / Travel Packages / Wimbledon Thomas Cook is facing financial woes but people who have purchased any of the 300,000 Olympic tickets from the travel agent, which is an official Olympic sponsor, can sleep safe.

Locog says it will honour the tickets purchased through the packages if the company goes belly-up and the packages are also covered by the travel agency collective ABTA's bond.

"We can appreciate our customers' concern but we are confident we will not go bust and it is business as usual," a company spokesman said.

The BBC's choice of the band Elbow to compose its theme music for their London 2012 Olympics coverage has been widely applauded, although some BBC insiders were a little nervous about commissioning the five-piece rather than tendering a selection of musicians to produce draft compositions for the honour.  Read more >>

I plan to attend the Olympics, I do not have my tickets yet, but I'll be at for the London 2012 Olympics. Anyway, with or without tickets, so many things to do in London. I booked my hotel.
